1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or purchasing Textrim ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you are prohibited from using the App.
2. License & Activation
Upon a one-time payment of $2, Textrim grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license for individual and commercial use. Activation requires a valid email address and a Gumroad license key. You agree not to share, redistribute, or resell license keys. Excessive activation attempts across different devices may result in automated license suspension.
3. Data & Privacy (Local Processing)
Textrim is designed as a "Privacy-First" utility. All text shortening, analysis, and processing are performed locally within your browser. We do not store, view, or transmit your input text to our servers. Your email and license key are transmitted only to verify your purchase status with Gumroad.
4. The Heuristic Engine & Accuracy
Textrim uses a deterministic heuristic engine (algorithmic rules) to condense text. While the App strives to maintain meaning, "meaning preservation" is subjective. We do not guarantee that the output will be grammatically perfect, factually accurate, or fit for any specific legal or professional purpose. The user is solely responsible for reviewing and proofreading all output.
5. Permitted Use & Restrictions
You may use Textrim for personal and commercial communications. You are prohibited from: (a) using the App to generate illegal or harmful content; (b) attempting to reverse-engineer or decompile the heuristic logic; and (c) using automated scripts to scrape the tool without prior authorization.
6. Payments & Refunds
All payments are securely processed via Gumroad. Due to the digital nature of the software and the immediate access provided upon purchase, refunds are generally not provided unless required by law or in cases of significant technical failure. Refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of purchase.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
Textrim is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every browser version.
8. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Textrim or its developers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including loss of data or profits) arising out of the use or inability to use the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damage.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the App following any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. The "Last Updated" date at the bottom of the page will reflect the most recent revisions.
